Life before GPS:-
Stop your car at a random place, call out to a random person going somewhere on a cycle,
Unfazed, you stop at a grocery, a
So I reverse and arrive . The house doesn't look the same, I ring the bell nonetheless.
A dog comes out running and barks aggressively through the bars of the bslcony.
The person who opens the door is less beligerant and actually knows the family I am looking for.
I thank her, and finally arrive at my destination.
This time it was easy.Open Google Map. An unknown lady with a strange accent kept giving the directions and though she took us around a bit because I chose a route with less traffic, I arrived without having to ask around.
The dog had passed away and the uncle and aunty have grown old and frail. But they are happy to see me.
In the end it's the destination that matters.
My own words which I could not express like you. Enjoyed reading it
