Planting hope

The pandemic changed quite a bit of my life. I saw departures in various forms, I lived in fear, saw a massive fire closer home and learnt to let go of my life! But it also taught me to look within myself, learn to get used to the restricted space and take to plants. I cannot call it a garden, but when someone called the space photogenic , I felt like a proud mom!  I guess I lacked this patience when I was actually being a mom!  Age makes you take things better. You probably can persevere because you have the time.   And colors bring happiness. To think this lily was diseased last year. Took a lot of tending, care and attention (including pouring bottles of Shakti drops) and it blooms again.  Like life, they remind me of hope.  May hope never perish.  It is what gives strength to cope. And overcome!

How much blue is blue?

There are days when  the Kolkata sky needs no filter. Just serves up blue in different hue!!  Even the dusty glass can't diminish the shades,  Wish life was such custom made!
