Jai Ganesh !

This Ganesh has a story. One of the first that I had bought off a footpath shop around Rash Behari Avenue much to the fascination of Chibu, all of a year and a half. He called him Gondada, and we had to prop him up on the wall, as Chibu was at that stage when all that he was fascinated with went for a toss. Well our Gondada did go for a toss while we were posted at a remote village in Naliya and s urvived a one storey fall. Despite all kind of advice that a chipped idol is a nono, I could not let him go. Paint, varnish and a bit of repair later he remained with us through our various postings, resettlement and retirement. In between of course there was this day when Ganesh all over was drinking milk. And while I took Chibu to the temple, could not quite see the spectacle. But a spectator was kind, took the three and a half year old right in front to witness the miracle. While I was busy with chores, I suddenly discovered Chibu trying to feed milk to Gondada from the same glass. Gond
