Hey You !

I am traveling after almost five months- in many ways I was looking forward to my solo time. Gives me time to read,watch movies till midnight, introspect and feel free..... The best thing about this apartment is the veranda...which is spacious and looks into a patch of overgrown greenery. I have been spending hours here, sipping my morning coffee while checking the whatsapp and the chat group " Furiye elo bela ...." and in the evening working on the assignments  over my cup of tea. I watch the rains at night falling in sheets and the glistening greens in the morning . Back in Kolkata I miss the "baranda"...of course, Mainak has a "baranda" with an awesome view, but I do not live there ! And the place where I stay , I honestly do not have the time to take in the laziness of the solitude as each second is a race with time ! Race with time , when I think about that I feel I am tired, the finishing line has lost it's charm...I just want to run the ot...

Curtains- for the 2014 Durga pooja. In many ways it was a Gen X poojo ,who proved that conventionality does not really belong to yesterday. It was steeped in tradition and devotion - something even I could not have pulled off . In the end it was the Gen -X who proved that despite the punk they also have the spunk.  Thank you Pooja/Jhilik/Chibu/ Toopsie  - and Babui , Shivalika and Rahul for the external support. The vignettes of  Durga Poojo would be special because the elders were all in sync in praising the young brigade and as a mother it felt good. And much to Bhaskar's chagrin Chibu became the centre point of all attention with his bruised right hand. Ah! to be in the centre of attention! I skipped shanti r jol this time for "Bang Bang"- an entertainment package with Rhittik and Katreena being the ultimate eye-candy.  And  I will miss waking up to the sound of Dhak, waiting to see Nandini's latest Anondo collection, the ice-cream at mid-ni...
